Newburgh Victorian Porch
This gorgeous Victorian residence in Newburgh, NY, had lost its original two story wrap-around covered porch and tower sometime in the 1950s. We reconstructed it using architectural plans which were developed partly from some clues that were left from the original porch and an old image of a similar structure in a nearby neighborhood.
This project required sourcing new large timbers and high quality clear mahogany and cedar trim and flooring to ensure that this reconstruction would be not only attractive, but also durable for many years to come. The curves required special bending techniques and a lot of patience! The roofs are Vermont unfading green slate.
